The Heart of Lebanon, a nationally accredited Main Street organization, enriches community identity and heritage, promotes a hub of activity, cultivates a strong sense of community, and ensures economic stability for the downtown historic district.
We operate as a nonprofit organization led by a full-time Executive Director, a part-time Event Coordinator, and a Board of Directors composed of residents, business professionals, and property owners.
In close collaboration with local leaders and the Boone EDC, we actively encourage new businesses to join our community while providing steadfast support to those already established within our district.
Leading placemaking efforts downtown, we initiate alley activation projects, showcase temporary and permanent art exhibits, and host engaging activities that encourage patrons to #LingerLonger.
Hosting over 35 events annually, we contribute to the vitality and community spirit of our downtown district and Courthouse Square.
We collaborate closely with local leaders to celebrate and preserve our Nationally Registered Courthouse Square and Historic District, recognizing that historic buildings and properties are integral to the unique identity of our community, safeguarding them for future generations.
