Get ready to capture the energy, shine, and nostalgia of classic rides in the open air! Join local artist and instructor Anita Davis for a unique plein air painting workshop set right in the heart of the action during Music on the Plaza and Car Cruise-In.
Whether you’re drawn to the sleek curves of a vintage fender, the gleaming chrome, or the vibrant atmosphere of live music and classic cars, Anita will guide you step-by-step through setting up your easel outdoors, working with natural light, and translating the scene onto canvas.
When: Friday, August 14th 6-8pm
Where: Downtown Lebanon (during the Car Cruise-In)
Who: Open to artists of all skill levels—from beginners to experienced painters looking for a fresh perspective!
All supplies will be provided for you including a canvas to take home
About the ArtistAnita Davis is a Central Indiana Artist exploring the world through an ever-changing focus.
Her medium preferences range from oil to acrylic (studio/live), from watercolor to ink (travel), and from specialty to exterior paint (public arts). While her material preferences and subject matter is in a constant state of flux, the drive to create stems from the same motivation: to translate the world through a brighter lens of viewer engagement.
Anita utilizes her BFA from Herron School of Art and Design (2020) to create Exhibitions throughout each year in the Boone, Marion, and Hamilton County areas. Her public works and murals can be found throughout the Boone County area. You can visit the Sugar Creek Art Center to see her studio in person.
