Come join Jessi with Aloha Indy Leis to make your very own lei po’o
(Head lei/Flower Crown) during the Lebanon City Market. In this Polynesian cultural experience, participants will learn the art of wili (winding/wrapping) technique using a variety of locally sourced blooms. Additionally, fern, purple orchid and all crafting materials will be provided. Tickets are only $20 in thanks to assistance from the Lebanon Arts Council. Keiki(Children) are welcome 8+ and older. All minors must be accompanied by an adult during the workshop.
About the artist: Jessi has worked in law enforcement as a social worker for 20 years and is a Central Indiana Artist who spent her early professional journey as an art educator for K-12.
Jessi, a native of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, enjoys the Polynesian art of lei making (Graduation money lei & Fresh lei) and jewelry making. She also enjoys painting in her spare time in the mediums of acrylic, oil, multimedia and you may have seen some of her window painting work on the square!
Jessi draws inspiration from life, travel and ohana. Her art is ever changing and she is enjoying her time being a part of the Lebanon Arts Council here in Boone County.
